The iPhone and G1 unlocking processes are indeed different, but approach upgrades with caution. It does seem however, that unlocks to the G1 are not affected by firmware updates…yet. Good luck!

my g1 was lock when i bought it then i paied someone to unlock

if i upgrade my g1 ill lock my phone?

im saying because i bought my iphone lock then i unlock it afew days later i updated my iphone and locked it again

or iphone has nothing 2 do with g1
im confused
