<p>For customers who pre-ordered <strong>before</strong> October 3rd, they still may get their shiny new Google Phone on the launch date of the 22nd of October. Any later? You will get the G1 on November 11th. <strong>At the earliest.</strong></p>
<p>Which means that queueing up outside your local shop and taking your chances is far more likely to earn you a G1 on launch day (or even launch month) than sitting at home twiddling your thumbs waiting for your pre-order to be delivered.</p>
<p>Sounds like any UK G1 fans would do well to start lining up <strong>now</strong>, but get behind me, I&#8217;m first!</p>

<p>Anyone think that these user interfaces are starting to look more like Facebook? Between their little tabs at the top and the Nokia 5800&#8217;s &#8216;friend feeds,&#8217; it all screams &#8220;social networking is great!&#8221;</p>
<p>It&#8217;s a <strong>phone</strong>. Social networking is <em>pretty</em> high up on a list of priorities already&#8230;</p>
